The other day, I received MOA’s newest product; the Hello Sunshine Energising Body Oil and I haven’t been happier to receive a parcel in a while! Recently, I’ve had an issue with aching muscles and this wondrous massage oil is like a blessing right now which is why I couldn’t wait to try it out.
‘Magic Organic Apothecary – MOA create natural skin care products, made in England, inspired by old herbal folklore and with a sprinkling of magic! In folklore marjoram, or mountain joy, is a lucky plant bringing cheer and good fortune… sunshine in a bottle!’
I love the idea of all of MOA’s products being inspired by folklore since I can feel my inner child resurfacing. Their packaging; cardboard with a gold embossed picture of the sun and gold lettering on the brown tinted bottle, really brings the simple magical aspect to life.
The energising oil ‘full of active organic ingredients for healthy and vibrant skin’ is said to ‘brighten your day’, ‘nourishing and hydrating whilst providing essential minerals, antioxidants and vitamins to protect and tone’, as well as ‘keeping pimples at bay’. The price point of £22.50 for 150ml is relatively reasonable for this worthy body oil from an eco-ethical skincare brand.
I have been regularly using this energising body oil before showering and I’ve definitely started to notice the effects. Massaging the oil into my skin in small circular motions for a while and leaving it on for an hour or so before having a shower has shown the best results for me so far.
The oil has an essentially easily absorbing golden base which is an amazing factor of the product. The eucalyptus blends with woody notes of pine and yarrow have worked wonders to relieve the tension in my muscles. The citrus sweet notes of lemongrass and marjoram with a hint of fresh mint in the background smells incredible. The scent also awakens the senses and kick-starts the circulation. My skin feels heavenly soft after every use with a healthy (almost sunshine-like) glow that makes me believe in MOA’s magic.
Generally speaking, this is one of the best body oils I’ve tried so far and this will surely be on my restock list once I run out. Let me know in the comments below if you will be trying this out or if you already have and your thoughts on it ~
