CAROLINA HERRERA

Carolina Herrera SS15 is more than unexpected.
She said it was based in Scuba diving; (Carolina Herrera usually works with silks and satin far from neoprene and foam fabrics.) and color code of a flower, as key colors pink, blue, purple or yellow ensembles from the collection,
We all know flowers are timeless but she went one step further, creating a more modern version almost three-dimensional.
The collection looks really sophisticated mixing the classical tailoring of CH with Mosaic designs reminiscent of Antoni Gaudi and 3D design. What about flowers? We all know flowers are timeless but she went one step further, creating a more modern version almost three-dimensional.

TOMMY HILFIGER

The show started with a band of hippy drummers playing The Beatles. Yellow submarine!
SS15 Tommy Hilfiger was already renamed as “Summer of Love”. “Celebrating the music festivals of the ’60s and ’70s – my time’s !” he said; and he was right, the vibe was totally rocker, it looked amazingly vintage rock style and sixties era. It was full of cardigans, leather mini’s and sailor hats. E-LEC-TRI-FYING!
The palette was the most eye-opening of NYFW, practically autumnal, dark and metallic inspired.
It’s time to say bye to Hilfiger preppy girls it’s time of glitter, sparkle stars, bodysuits and skinny patchwork jeans!

VERSUS VERSACE

Donatella Versace looked so proud of Anthony Vaccarello the new V. Versace designer.
And we have to say his debut was amazing, he didn’t hesitate to draw from the style codes of the parent label to create looks that are glamorous, modern and extremely sensual.
Black, white and gold were the clear favorites at SS15 collection, and was extremely sexy, provocative and bold and…tailoring was just exquisite!
“It’s an instinctive collection based on how I see the Versus girl now. She’s urban and pays attention to details,” says Anthony Vaccarello of his capsule collection for Versus. “It’s based on my memories of the original Versus collections that I loved.”
He has captured the sensual, rebellious heart of Versus Versace, and taken it somewhere fresh and new.” says Donatella Versace.

DIANE VON FÜRSTENBERG

50s and 60s are back!
Diane Von Furstenberg continues impressing; SS15 proposal is amazing with certain reminiscence of “Bridget Bardot what is wearing today?”
Supermodels including Naomi Campbell, Lily Donaldson, Kendall Jenner and Sam Rollinson were all big hair and smouldering cat eyes and a big big smile.
Maxi dreses, stripes and tube skirts were the best, for the delight of 50s lovers! Loving the details, glossy brightly colored sequins, micro crystals embellished most of the collection, looking so glam and sophisticate.
Even at her most playful, von Furstenberg designs are made for women who want to conquer the world.

J.CREW

SS15 collection looks so perfect! in contrast to most of the proposals by #NYFW houses their cuts are quite boyish . The tailoring was just perfect, loving the loose and the simplicity of the collection.
The palette was also very very fresh, they always denim but white was the clear winner for SS15, also blue, nautical stripes, yellow, khaki and chambray.
The denim trousers were especially on point with a wide variety of wide-legged boyfriend, patchwork, drop waist jeans…. Some light wash denim also!

RAG & BONE

If we had to express Rag & Bone SS15 in two words it will be CLEAN CUT.
With an everything-natural-fabric philosophy and even it was simple with all oversized tailoring it looked very refreshing.
Blazers and military-inspired outerwear were a significant focus. The highlight of the collection was a line-up of tunics and waistcoats in the deepest indigo denim.
White, Black and dark denim will be the key colors for Rag and Bone designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville.

MARC BY MARC JACOBS

Go hard or go home seemed to be the manifesto for Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley’s highly anticipated second Marc by Marc Jacobs collection. The show started with Johann Strauss’s The Blue Danube..
The best, a lot of graphic codes for SS15, you can’t miss the slogan T-shirt read NEW WORLD SYSTEM. The attitude was hyper-raver. It was from far the most energetic collection. Boyish looking and models with androgynous models; I guess we could call it neo-punk inspired.
I can’t find words to describe it, multi-layered, mixing prints, mixing fabrics all together and nothing!!! Was just too much! Check out the complete collection, even key colors were White, yellow and light blue you can find black, fuchsia and some graphic print too.
Smudged polka dots!!! eighties-inspired!!! Over-sized slogan tees and grungy tartan!!
Love it. That is already guaranteed street-style bait.

VERA WANG

Slightly dark and pretty prints, masculine tailoring paired with feminine show-stoppers. It was really really tailoring, some of the designs created textural effects and black embroidery was just amazing.
At mid show they changed black for light fabrics traced with silver, very romantic and chiffon dresses were amazing. Again palette was pretty autumnal with splits here and there of violet and silver. But that’s expected already of Vera Wang.
