Khaki and military green have been appearing on catwalks since a few years ago, alongside camouflage prints and animal print. But this fall 2014 the biggest houses like Chanel, Balmain, Gaultier, Isabel Marant or Lanvin reinvented Military trend finding inspiration in Gregorian and Victorian elements.
It looks certainly closer than ever to the rigidity and structure of a soldier’s uniform. For menswear we saw a LOOOT of military on fur, long coats and luxe parkas. About womens wear you really need to find your own cargo pants, combat boots and utilitarian jacket! Is a must this season, we are talking later about our favorites.
The materials go LUXE, are hand finished with a clear signature vintage and washed leather, with custom-made metal accessories, medallion buttons, XXL Buckles, belts( some ANIMAL-PRINT inspired) and embellishments. And military goes even more luxurious paired with fabrics like silk, organza…
About the color palette we can find army shades from khaki to gray. ( particularly in khaki and olive shades.)
Why we should join Military trend?
Military trend is timeless. And you just need a few key items to create a new outfit. For example you can pair a military parka with a smart look and you will look so classy. Or pair your favorite LBD with a camo shirt, (camo is always a good idea), or even try your favorite leather jacket + cargo pants. The limit is your imagination.
